Bio: A former Milfield student Matthews is part of England’s Junior Academy set-up. Last season was a disappointment for the young back-row man as he suffered a serious knee injury that ruled him out of action for the final half the campaign. His pre-season went well and he’ll be looking for game time in the Zurich ‘A’ League during the new season. Quick to support and competitive at the breakdown, Matthews has a real future in the blindside position. Was one of the stand-out performers during pre-season against Doncaster and can expect more action.
